How It Works
Distinct from from stretching at home, assisted stretching at Surge Mobile Physical Therapy is a personalized program performed by our stretch and flexibility coaches.
The science behind stretching is in our stretch and flexibility coaches' work with your innate muscle stretch reflexes. Much like how the well-known patellar reflex, or "knee-jerk" reaction is used by clinicians to assess the sensitivity of your stretch reflex, our coaches look to take advantage of stretching in a scientific way.
By using specific techniques that go beyond the stretches you can do by yourself, our stretch and flexibility coaches can position your body so that it can fully relax and achieve a full stretch. One of the best benefits of assisted stretching is our expertise in how the body works to prevent you from over-stretching while still unlocking the full benefits that a complete stretch provides.
Results You Can See & Feel
Our team also utilizes Kinotek software to ensure you are making progress as you continue your assisted stretching sessions. This includes a personalized movement report and an immersive 3D body map that will visually highlight areas where you have improved and potential areas to focus on next. Together with our assisted stretch coaches, this new technology is here to motivate you with state-of-the-art tracking and movement insights so that you can reach your health goals.

HOW MANY OUTPATIENT SESSIONS DO I NEED?
Although your Therapist will be able to provide you with a much more accurate timeline following your initial assessment, as a general rule of thumb, the following holds true: For minor movement challenges or non-chronic injuries, we usually see dramatic improvement within 4-6 sessions. For more major movement issues or chronic injuries, we ballpark around 10-12 sessions. Finally, for severe or long-term chronic issues, it may take up to 20 sessions to see a significant resolution of your symptoms. These are very general estimates and every patient case varies, and often you’ll feel improvement from the very first session. Your therapist will work with you to create a program that will be tailored to your needs during your initial session, so you’ll have an idea of your roadmap once you get seen.
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUTPATIENT HOUSE CALL VISITS AND TRADITIONAL HOME HEALTH SERVICES?

WHAT IS TELEHEALTH?
Simply put, telehealth is the use of electronic information and telecommunications to promote long-distance health care. This can include video conferencing, streaming media, wireless communications, and other forms of internet communications. For many patients, work, family, or travel constraints preclude them from attending therapy three times per week. Telehealth enables a therapist to remotely monitor a patient’s Home Exercise Program and updates notes, without the patient needing to drive to the clinic. It’s a win-win situation and a patient can save time and be seen by a preferred clinician
